This image utilizes the element of line and shape. When shooting this image, I mad sure to keep a distance close enough to the seesaws to make their beams the subject of the photo instead of the entire seesaw itself. This allowed me to focus on the metal bar connecting all of the that runs down the vertical right third of the image. This image definitely provides the viewer with a different point of view than usual in regards to the seesaw. I feel that the sharp focus on the connecting bar of the seesaw successfully holds the viewer's attention.
The law of thirds as well as the use of depth of field are present within this image. To shoot this image I used studio lighting to ensure that every aspect of the image was well lit. The use of aperture allowed me to create a heavy blur on the background of the image to focus the viewer's attention to the camera. When I shot this image, I had the aspect of time in mind, especially in regards to photography. The older camera model reverses time in a sense to look back on how far cameras have come in regards to build and technicality. The clock in the background obviously symbolizes time passing as well.
This image utilizes leading lines, as well as the aspect of line and shape. It provides the viewer with a new point of view of the high school. When someone looks at the high school, they may admire the grandness of the building or the new look of it. This point of view focuses specifically on the stone and brickwork, as well as the arch shape and pillars. Overall, it just provides a different perspective to the shape and form of the school itself. The position of the frame allows for the viewer to focus specifically on all of these aspects, specifically the lines and shape of the school. I used available outdoor lighting to shoot, which. resulted in shadows in some parts of the image.
